Well, I did the update and then went caching on Thurs. Well the compass was more responsive, but my autorouting failed miserably. As soon as I passed its recommended street, it went blank, vs auto recalculating. All else worked, so I shrugged it off.
Yesterday went for a few more, only managed the first one

Selected the first cache, and so far so good, my compass was decreasing as it should... then we went past it to get to the entrance... it zero'd out, and wouldn't start increasing the numbers! Had to reselect find a geocache and start over. The compass was acting up today! Thurs I never actually had to "go past" the cache location so this didn't trigger the zeroing out thing.
So frustration set in, and after Mr H4FF spied the cache, about 25 ft from where the gps stated it was, I gave up.
Came home and asked the GC forum how to downgrade... after a very quick reply, and direction, I reverted back to my trusty firmware version. All is back to normal, as I went out and "found" my Avian Faith cache

So, yes, do upgrade the firmware at your own risk, if you need to downgrade go to this website:
